Step Marketing 2

Step Marketing 2

Step1

get postcards all the time. One day I received a postcard trying to sell me a photocopier. There were tiny letters all over the front and much of the back of
 the card.

It was so hard to read that I threw it away. Generate a lead: Ask me to call an 800 number.

Step 2

Provide the requested information - over the phone from one of their salespeople who was able to answer my questions and assure me that I could save a lot of money on my call bill in the long run and that the service would be the same as good or even better.

?What's great about 2 steps

It is much easier to generate interest (leads) than to guide a person through the buying process (sales).

You are not yet encouraging a potential or current customer to part with their money.

Postcards are a cost-effective way to promote yourself to prospects and customers and generate leads (inquiries about your products and services) that can then be followed up and converted into sales.

This two-step process also helps you build a list of people who are interested enough in what you have to offer to contact you.

You can then contact those with whom you did not complete the sale when they first asked you, preferably only after they have purchased from you.

IMPORTANT: Make sure you get the contact information you need to contact the people who responded to your email offer. The most effective use of postcards:

The message on your postcard is to generate enough interest in a potential customer to contact you and ask questions about what you offer.

You earn interest but don't collect any money (at least not yet). This is the two-step marketing process. Generate leads and interested customers who contact you for more information.
Step Marketing 2

: To be most effective, your message should consist of three parts

identify the biggest benefit of your product or service (in the long-distance example,   it was savings).

A good reason to contact you NOW

An easy way to respond (e.g. an 800 number)

This two-stage marketing process works

What 99% of Business Owners Don't Know and Will Never Learn About Using Postcards to Increase Profits

Offer ends May 5, 2001 (print date 3 weeks after publication date in case of emergency)

Many people will answer to find out what they may not know.“Don’t forget,” they replied, meaning at least some interest in the information that piqued your curiosity.

This method works and will generate a large number of requests when sent to the relevant market.
